The BIOSHADES workshop was presented and taught by Cecilia Raspanti and Ista Boszhard at the Matérialités Futures course of ENSAD (École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs) in PARIS.
Matérialités Futures is a course led by Aurélie Mossé and Jean-Francois Bassereau from the Soft Matters research group, Ensadlab for the textile & matter design department at EnsAD and aims to explore new opportunities for textile, material and surface design through a design-led research project.
The 6-weeks course aimed at exploring new opportunities for textile, material and surface design through a design-led research project. By discovering how to use living organisms in their design process, the students were challenged to conceive more sustainable textile processes and outcomes.
